Set among huge Ponderosas, this camp is absolutely beautiful. The entrance has a very narrow cattle guard, which I barely squeaked my trailer tires over. It is one long road rather than a loop, with big sites on each side with the best one at the end, next to a meadow. 

Travel Highway 380 to Paulina, take left fork four miles east of Paulina, travel 3.5 miles and turn right on Puett Road (County Road 135), go approximately 9 miles to FS Road 58 and Puett Junction, turn right on Road 58 and travel five miles to the 58/5840 junction, turn left on 5840 and travel approximately seven miles, turn right on FS Road 400, go approximately 1 mile.
From Paulina, OR travel northwest to within one mile of Rager Ranger Station. Turn north on Forest Road #5820. Travel 4 miles, turn east on Forest Road #5830, then .25 miles to junction with Forest Road #5830-200, and travel 4 miles to Mud Springs Campground.
