The Pioneer Indian Trail leaves from here and is 8 miles one way. 
 Once atop the mountain the views are great.  The trail is nice, not very slippery, and there are spots where you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere for awhile.

Directions: 
From Hebo drive east of Highway 101 on Highway 22 for approximately half a mile. Turn left on FS Road 14 (paved). Drive on FS Road 14 for 5.5 miles to the trailhead located on the right side of the road.

Facilities:
Rocked parking area with a capacity for 12 trucks with trailers. Individual camping is not allowed but groups can be permitted if volunteering for trail work. Dispersed camping is allowed along FS Road 14 on old road spurs. Improvements have not been installed.

Activities: 
Access to historic Pioneer-Indian trail and two newly reconstructed loop trails. Eventually 29 miles of loop trails will be reconstructed and connected.
